Booking conditions

Fee / Basic prices for guides

Up to 2 hours: € 62 (in German), € 72 (in English or French)
Each subsequent hour (rounded up to the nearest hour): € 17.50
Day tours, e.g. 9 am - 5 pm: € 113 (in German), € 123 (in English or French)

Payment

You may pay the guide cash on the day of the tour or we can send you an invoice.

Delays

The guide will wait for up to 30 minutes. The fee will be charged from the arranged meeting time. If you are delayed please call us to ensure that the guided tour can still take place.

Free cancellation:

• City tours: 1 business day in advance.
• Day tours / half-day tours: 3 business days in advance.
• If cancellation is not made in time you will be charged 50% of the agreed price.
• If the guide's waiting time exceeds 30 minutes you will be charged 100% of the agreed price.

Coach rental

For excursions it is always assumed that a coach is provided by the client. If this is not the case, we can organize coach rental provided sufficient prior notice is given.

Languages

On request, we can offer almost all of our guided tour program for groups in English and French. Bilingual tours can also be arranged.

Scheduling

When you plan your tour, please consider the opening hours of the sights and museums to be visited. Visits to interiors of sights and museums can be included in a guided tour only during opening hours and provided no private functions or special events are taking place.

Group size

Walking tours: max. 25 people or one school class per guide.
Coach tours (coach provided by group): one guide per coach.

The guide has the right to refuse to conduct the tour if the max. group size is exceeded.

Meeting point

Saarbrücken Tourist Information Office, opposite the central train station. Bus stops for getting on and off coaches are situated right in front of the train station. Alternative meeting points, e.g. the hotel, must be explicitly arranged. A charge for travel costs will be made for meeting points outside the city center.

Advisory service and bookings

We will be happy to assist you with the planning of guided tours of the city and excursions. We are at your disposal for comprehensive assistance Mondays to Fridays (8 am - 4 pm).

Liability

The Kongress- und Touristik Service der Region Saarbrücken GmbH (Kontour) is merely an agent for the services booked. No liability shall be accepted for any damage which may occur, such as delays or changes to the program caused by traffic congestion, unforeseen closure of buildings, etc. The client undertakes to honor the agreement and is not entitled to claim any additional services. With his signature the client acknowledges the terms and conditions set out in the agreement.  The seat of jurisdicition is Saarbrücken.
