Protestant church in Bischmisheim in an unusual octagonal shape
It was designed by the Prussian king's master builder Karl Friedrich Schinkel.He gave his church an octagonal shape, which made it possible to create a circumferential gallery inside. This means that the space is used far more efficiently than in a rectangular church of the same volume.
