It is a 30-minute walk from the city centre. Houses dating back to the late medieval ages which have retained their authentic charm to this day are clustered around the idyllic market square. The 13th century Gothic collegiate church is amongst the most significant historical monuments in southwest Germany. Up to the 15th century the princes and earls of Nassau-Saarbrücken were buried here and their sepulchres can still be admired today.
